Celebrating Over 180 Years
CELEBRATING 180 YEARS

Cape May United Methodist Church celebrated 180 years of faithful ministry and service. From humble beginnings in 1842, when early Methodists gathered in private homes on Cape Island, the church has grown into a spiritual home that continues to welcome worshipers near and far. Known affectionately as "The Visitor's Church," its historic sanctuary on Washington Street has been a place of inspiration, hospitality, and hope for generations of believers.

This remarkable milestone honors not only the church's long-standing presence in the Cape May community but also the deep roots of Methodist tradition that have shaped its mission. Through the merging of congregations, changing times, and ongoing outreach, Cape May UMC has remained committed to sharing God's love and grace.
