Missions and Events
Recycle your used printer ink cartridges by dropping them off at the church office. CMUMC earns $2.00 per cartridge for Staples Rewards. This helps us control our office expenditures budget.
Aluminum Pull Tabs
Please collect your aluminum pull tabs and give them to Gladys Mendo. They are recycled, and the money is used to purchase medical and non-medical items for Shriner's Hospitals!
The stamps are sent to Veterans and Senior Centers where they are sorted and sold to stamp dealers. The proceeds are used to purchase Sunday school materials in Spanish speaking churches in North, Central and South America. This project has already generated over a million dollars!
Give your pennies, small change, and donations to Gladys Mendo. The money is used to purchase "Grocery Cards" for families in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays!
This mission was the dream of Virginia Stiffler when she was in her 90's. She has gone on to be with her Lord, but her vision continues with the help of Gladys and our faithful congregation!
The Food Closet
This ministry collects food, paper products, toiletries, and whatever else is needed to support their families. Donated items should be placed in the plastic bin in the back hall.
There are Jars of Hope to be given to a friend or relative or take one for yourself. The jars can be found in the Narthex & the back hall. If you don't see any, contact Cheryl Kurtz. In addition to the Hope Jars, there are Joke Jars to be given to those who want to start their day with laughter.
The United Methodist Women are again selling the beautiful note cards featuring the picture of the church. There are 5 note cards and 5 envelops in each packet. They cost $5.00 and will be sold on the 2nd and 4th Sunday each month at the table near the entrance to Lyle Hall.
ShopRite Gift Cards For Sale
Sales are on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at the entrance of Lyle Hall. Cards are in denominations of $25, $50 and $100! Make checks payable to UMW or United Methodist Women. This has been a successful fundraiser for UMW missions and other projects.
